Rep: Michael Douglas’ ‘Spirits Are High And He Will Get Through It’

In their latest issue, Star Magazine claims that Michael Douglas is preparing for his imminent death by making final changes to his will.

However, a rep for the “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” star denied the tabloid’s claims in a statement to Access Hollywood on Friday, saying Douglas has successfully finished treatment in his battle against Stage IV cancer.

“[Michael] is doing as well as can be expected,” the rep told Access. “The doctors are pleased, so they have scheduled nothing more and it’s just now having to go through a pretty difficult six-to-eight week recuperation period.

“The four weeks following the last largest chemo treatment are really tough on any patient, but his spirits are still high and he will get through it,” the rep continued.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Douglas revealed his cancer diagnosis in August, after doctors found a tumor in his throat.
