Is Nicole Scherzinger officially off the market?
On Sunday, the UK’s Daily Mail claimed that the singer’s father, Alfonso Valiente, told the paper that his daughter is engaged to longtime boyfriend, Formula 1 racecar driver Lewis Hamilton, prompting numerous online reports that the former Pussycat Dolls frontwoman, 33, would soon marry.
However, Nicole’s rep has denied the claim, telling Access Hollywood that she is not engaged.
Lewis, 26, and Nicole have been dating since November 2007, when they first met at the MTV Europe Awards in Munich.
The pop star was previously engaged to 311’s Nick Hexum.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, 2011 has been a busy year for Nicole.
The former host of NBC’s “The Sing Off” released a solo album, “Killer Love,” in March, and was also nabbed to co-host Simon Cowell’s U.S. version of “The X Factor,” alongside British television personality Steve Jones.
However, Nicole was promoted to judge for the reality singing competition in June after Cheryl Cole – a judge on the original British “X Factor” – was dropped.
Nicole joins Paula Abdul, Antonio “L.A.” Reid and show creator Simon Cowell on the judges panel when the show debuts on September 21 on FOX.
