Rep: Susan Boyle Treated For Exhaustion

Scottish singer Susan Boyle was taken to a London clinic on Saturday following her second-place finish in “Britain’s Got Talent,” Access Hollywood has confirmed.

“Following Saturday night’s show, Susan was exhausted and emotionally drained,” a rep for the show said in a statement released to Access. “She has been seen by her private GP who supports her decision to take a few days out for rest and recovery.

“We offer her our ongoing support and wish her a speedy recovery,” the statement continued.

According to the Associated Press, the 48-year-old is resting at the Priory Clinic.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a British dance troupe of young men from Essex, England – Diversity – beat out Boyle to win “Britain’s Got Talent.”

The verdict, announced live on British television on Saturday evening, brought everyone to their feet including the judges – Piers Morgan, Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden.

“The best people won,” 48-year-old Susan, who cheered the winners on, told show hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly. “They’re very entertaining, and lads — I wish you all the best.”

Susan smiled and cheered as the verdict was announced. And later, she told Ant and Dec that she enjoyed every minute of her “Britain’s Got Talent” experience.

“What a journey,” she said. “Unbelievable, very humbling.”
