Report: Emily Maynard The New ‘Bachelorette’

Immediately after Emily Maynard and Brad Womack split last year, reports surfaced that she was in talks to become the next “Bachelorette,” and once again, the story is back.

On Wednesday, People.com reported that sources told the website Emily will be the new “Bachelorette,” news first reported by RealitySteve.com.

According to the People, production on the upcoming season is moving to her hometown — Charlotte, N.C. — for the single mom, who has a daughter – Ricki (dad is the late Ricky Hendrick, a NASCAR driver who was killed in a plane crash).

ABC had no comment when contacted by Access Hollywood about the report.

Back in July, Us Weekly first reported Emily was in talks to join the franchise in a search for love.

Emily will follow Ashley Hebert, who was the last “Bachelorette.”

Bad boy Bentley Williams famously broke Ashley’s heart on her season of “The Bachelorette,” slamming her looks, and admitting he originally signed on to the show with the hope that Emily was the woman looking for love.

According to People, Bentley is interested in joining the show in pursuit of Emily’s heart.
