Report: Jon Cryer’s Ex-Wife Arrested for Felony Child Abuse

Jon Cryer’s ex-wife, Sarah Trigger, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of child abuse, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

Trigger was arrested early Thursday morning at her home in Hermosa Beach, Calif.

The “Two and a Half Men” star and Trigger have an eight-year-old son together, but the child involved is not Cryer’s son.

“Trigger’s husband and father of their 2 year old son reported to Officers that his son’s neck had an injury. HBPD Officers contacted County of Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services and responded to Trigger’s residence in Hermosa Beach,” the police said in a statement released to Access Hollywood.

“Upon arrival, HBPD Detectives spoke to Trigger who gave conflicting stories about the child’s injury. Trigger alleged that the injury was an “accident” and did not give clear details regarding the incident,” the statement continued. “Trigger was placed under arrest for suspicion of child abuse, and booked into the HBPD jail. Trigger was released on $100,000.00 bail.”

According to TMZ sources, the two-year-old’s neck reportedly had rope marks when police arrived and the source claimed that police found a weapon in the house that matched the marks. The child was reportedly safe Thursday night and the Department of Children and Family Services is investigating,

Trigger, who has custody of Cryer’s 9-year-old son, was not at home during the incident and not involved.

When contacted by Access, a rep for Cryer would not comment.
