Report: Lindsay Lohan Heads To Mom’s House In NY

Lindsay Lohan is seeking solace at her mother’s home on Long Island, The NY Post reports.

The actress reportedly flew first class to New York’s Kennedy Airport Friday night, accompanied by her younger sister, Ali.

Lindsay has been keeping a relatively low profile since her Los Angeles arrest on July 24 for suspicion of DUI and driving on a suspended license, and now it appears that she’s taking comfort in being with her family.

“She’s doing well,” her mother, Dina, reportedly told The Post yesterday.

According to the report, Lindsay is at the home in Merrick, NY, with her mother, grandmother, and her three siblings.

A cargo van from the airport reportedly delivered luggage to the house yesterday, indicating that she may plan to stay with her family for a little while.

A family member not currently with Lindsay — her estranged father, Michael Lohan — hopes this visit to his state of residence will afford him a chance to see his daughter.

“If it is true that she’s in New York, I hope we’ll have contact. I’ll help her in every possible way I can,” he is quoted as saying. “I think it’s a good thing that she’s back with her family. Hopefully, the only element missing is myself.”

Michael, who is currently battling Dina in court for increased visitation rights with his younger children, stressed the importance of having the entire family involved in helping Lindsay.

“Lindsay has to get away from the people she’s around in L.A. She needs to have her father and her mother in her life,” Michael reportedly told The Post.

Earlier this week, Michael withdrew a petition to have Dina tested for drugs, saying that he felt the move would improve his chances of being granted visitation rights. He had previously suggested that Dina’s alleged drinking and his own drug use may have played a role in Lindsay’s recurring troubles.

Lindsay, being 21, does not fall under the edicts of family court, and Michael (who has previously been in both rehab and prison) wants her to know he’s there for her if she needs him.

’ Billy Bush mere hours after her July arrest, “I love her. I’ve always loved her. I don’t want anything from her but to be her father, she knows that. The only thing I’ve ever wanted from her was her love and forgiveness like I’ve given her mine…You need your parents and that’s all that’s important. Just let me reach out to you and be there for you.”

For now, Lindsay is apparently allowing her mother and siblings to be there for her — at least until she heads back to LA. She is reportedly scheduled to appear in court to face current and previous DUI charges on August 24.
