Report: Michael Jackson’s Son May Take Stage At Memorial

Prince Michael I, the eldest son of the late Michael Jackson, may take the stage at his father’s memorial service on Tuesday, MSNBC reported.

Sources close to the Jackson family told MSNBC that there had been discussions among family members in the run up to the late pop star’s Staples Center memorial service over whether Michael’s son Prince, 12, should take the stage to sing.

As it stands, the performance could happen, but it is not yet a definite.

This is not the first time a rumor regarding Prince Michael taking the stage has surfaced. In the run up to Michael’s 50 shows at London’s O2 arena, which were set to kick off on July 13, reports surfaced that the King of Pop was planning a duet with his son, according to the UK’s Telegraph newspaper.

“What better way to introduce his son to the music world than to have him come on stage during the most anticipated gig in history?” a source told the paper back in March.
