Owen Wilson has returned home after being hospitalized following a suicide attempt, People reports.
The actor is being “watched around the clock” since returning to his Santa Monica home on Saturday, according to the report.
“Owen is in bad mental shape but said he is thankful to be alive,” a source close to the actor reportedly told People. “He knows he came close to ending his life, and he is happy that he was saved from himself. He is basically at home with people watching him 24/7.”
Access Hollywood has reached out to Wilson’s rep for comment, but has not yet received a response.
In a statement to Access last week, Wilson said, “I respectfully ask that the media allow me to receive care and heal in private during this difficult time.”
