Reunion? Newly-Separated Ryan Reynolds & Scarlett Johannson Spotted Enjoying ‘Friendly’ Dinner

Was it just a casual dinner? Or could there be a possible Ryan / Scarlett reunion in the works?

“Green Lantern” leading man Ryan Reynolds was spotted enjoying a “friendly meal” with his soon-to-be ex, Scarlett Johannson, on Friday night, according to People.

The easy-on-the-eyes pair reportedly kept it amicable while they dined at New York’s Blue Ribbon sushi restaurant.

“They were smiling and laughing the whole time,” a source told the mag.

Scarlett recently returned from a girls’ trip to Jamaica, while her handsome hubby was reportedly in town for a photoshoot – but don’t get your hopes for a saved relationship up just yet.

“They just wanted to connect and have a friendly chat,” the source told the mag. “They just wanted to sit down together. The tone was light and fun despite the untruths that the media is working up…. This was just two people who were married being civil and friendly.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, the gorgeous couple split after two years of marriage.

“After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage,” the couple said in a joint statement to Access Hollywood on Tuesday. “We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.”

Scarlett, 26, and Ryan, 34, began dating in 2007 before announcing their engagement in May 2008.

They wed in a private ceremony in Vancouver, British Columbia, in September 2008.

Ryan was previously engaged to rocker Alanis Morrisette in 2004, before the couple split in 2007.

Over the years, Scarlett has been romantically linked to actors Josh Hartnett and Patrick Wilson, as well as rocker Jared Leto.

This was the first marriage for both stars.
