Ricki Lake has eloped!
The 43-year-old talk show host and former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant and Christian Evans, 40, were married on Sunday in an undisclosed location in Southern California, her rep confirmed to Access Hollywood.
Ricki also confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, “It’s official, and I am so happy!”
The star Tweeted a photo of herself in her wedding gown while referring to a song made famous by Barbra Streisand.
“Yup. This is me…. Sadie Sadie married lady,” she wrote referencing the song “Sadie, Sadie” from “Funny Girl.”
Ricki told People – who first reported the happy news – that her big day was joyous and calm.
“It was a beautiful moment I will never forget,” she told the mag. “I wasn’t anxious or nervous. I was really relaxed and excited.”
Ricki, who split from first husband Rob Sussman in 2003, told the mag she wasn’t sure getting married again was in her future.
“I didn’t think it would happen at this point in my life,” she explained. “[Christian and I] just clicked… It just feels like he was the right one all along.”
During her time on Season 13 of “DWTS,” Ricki told Access Hollywood that she was hoping the competition and intense physical training would get her in shape for her wedding.
“I fell in love, and I got a little fluffy this year,” she told Access following the Season 13 cast announcement in August. “Not a lot fluffy, but like a little fluffier than I want to be. This is definitely time for me to shed the [pounds] for my wedding next year.”
By November, Ricki – who vowed to not try on dresses until the completion ended – had dropped more than 20 pounds and several dress sizes. She began the competition a size 8 and was 15 inches smaller and sported a size 4 by the end, where she came in third place.
In December Access caught up with Ricki, who said she was keeping in shape post-“DWTS” with a non-dancing workout regime.
“I am not dancing, but I am doing barre method,” Ricki told Access at the time of the popular cardio barre fitness style that involves a lot of ballet-style moves and leg lifts.
