Rihanna’s Dad On Chris Brown Reunion: ‘I’m Behind Her’

Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, said his daughter hasn’t told him about her reported reunion with Chris Brown, who allegedly assaulted the “Disturbia” singer on February 8 – but he’ll be “behind her” whatever her decision.

“Whatever road she chooses, I’m behind her,” he told People on Saturday. “We are a family who stick together even though we are apart.

According to People, Fenty hasn’t spoken to Rihanna since her 21st birthday on February 20 and found out about the couple’s reunion through media reports.

“She’s a smart girl,” he said, adding that he had no comment about Chris Brown.

In a separate interview with Us Weekly, Fenty said he was looking forward to seeing his daughter again.

“I hope to see her soon,” he said. “I talked to her after her birthday, and she told me she’s OK.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Brown and Rihanna are reportedly back together.

According to People, the two are staying in a home owned by Sean “Diddy” Combs on Miami Beach’s Star Island.

“They’re together again. They care for each other,” a source told People. “While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves.”

A rep for Chris Brown had “no comment” when reached by Access Hollywood on Saturday. Reps for Rihanna and Diddy were not immediately available when contacted by Access.

Brown was booked on criminal threat felony charges by LAPD following the February 8 incident but was released after making bail. He is set to appear at a March 5 court date.
