Rising Star: AnnaLynne McCord

She’s a sweet, Southern girl at heart, but you wouldn’t know it from the teenage vixen that AnnaLynne McCord plays on FX’s “Nip/Tuck.”

McCord, Access Hollywood’s latest Rising Star, has been steaming up the screen and stirring up fans’ emotions as Eden Lord, the jailbait daughter of Portia de Rossi’s, Olivia Lord character. But she’s more than just a hell raiser.

McCord brings to life the manipulative teenage temptress who woos (and eventually beds) good guy, Dr. Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh).

For weeks, fans have been glued to their TV screens as Edenattempted to land her older man, something she finally achieved in early December, before she quickly tossed him away.

“After sex, clingy-ness happens all the time, especially with older guys,” Eden said to Sean, anti-climatically.

McCord’s portrayal of the troubled, sexed-up young girl has made fans of the show both love and hate her all at once.

Eden is hated for the trouble she’s been causing Sean, but also for the problems she’s managed to put on Sean and Julia’s young daughter, Annie, who asked her dad for lipo after Eden gave her a case of the body image blues.

“Nip/Tuck” isn’t the first time McCord has played a conniving teen. She previously starred as an older-man loving teen on MyNetwork TV’s telenovela “American Heiress.” She also played a cruel high school cheerleader on an episode of “Cold Case.”

“Ugly Betty” fans got to know her as Petra, the underage supermodel who got Daniel Meade into mega-trouble. How? By tempting him into the sack with her “sister,” who actually turned out to be her mother, on Season 1 of the hit ABC show.

While many young actresses might find it hard to take on such mature roles, McCord seems to do it with ease. Perhaps one reason she tackles her roles with such maturity comes down to the actress’ graduation from high school at the age of 15, followed by moves to Miami and New York to hone her acting skills.

Though we plan to tune into “Nip/Tuck” to see where Eden and Sean end up, McCord can also be seen on the big screen in 2008’s “Slaughter.” She’ll also play opposite “Gossip Girl” cutie Chace Crawford in 2008’s “She Lived.”
