Rising Star: Hunter Parrish

From the “Weeds,” Hunter Parrish has emerged as a true rising star.

Fans of the quirky Showtime drama know all about Hunter, as young Silas Botwin. But Hunter got his feet wet in Hollywood long before “Weeds.”

The 20-year-old actor made his acting debut alongside Simon Baker in a 2003 episode of the CBS drama “The Guardian.” His big screen bow came the following year in the 2004 teen comedy “Sleepover.”

He has also appeared in the films “RV” and “Freedom Writers” while his other TV credits include appearances on “CSI,” “Summerland,” “Close to Home” and “Law & Order: SVU.”

But now in his third season of “Weeds,” Hunter is making his mark in Hollywood. He recently sat down with Access Hollywood to talk about the show’s new season – and its very special guest star.

And after an intense cliffhanger last year, what can fans expect to see as Season Three unfolds?

“Now we’ve got Mary-Kate [Olsen] on board, so I think it’ll be good,” he smiled with Mary-Kate sitting beside him. “The first couple of episodes sort of sum up last season and we start bringing in some new people. It’s pretty fun. It’s actually really exciting.”

While Mary-Kate makes herself at home amongst her “Weeds” cohorts, she is helping young Hunter in at least one off-screen aspect of his life.

“She’s giving me fashion lessons,” he joked.

Catch Hunter, Mary-Kate and the rest of the “Weeds” gang Monday nights on Showtime!
