Robbie Amell Joins Cast Of The CW’s ‘The Flash’

Robbie Amell is headed to The CW’s “The Flash.”

The actor is set to play Ronnie Raymond, aka Firestorm, on the “Arrow” spinoff, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

Ronnie (a recurring character) is a maintenance worker at S.T.A.R. Labs and the fiance of Dr. Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker). He plays an integral part in the particle accelerator accident that transforms Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) into The Flash.

“Geoff Johns, Andrew Kreisberg and myself designed the pilot and series to include Ronnie (aka Firestorm) — and to actually have someone with Robbie’s talent playing the role is beyond exciting. We can’t wait for viewers and fans of the character to check it out,” Executive Producer Greg Berlanti said in a statement.

“The Flash” star Grant Tweeted about the news, writing, “DOPE!! Pumped about it. Let’s do this, @RobbieAmell.”

Robbie, an alum of “The Tomorrow People,” Tweeted back, “yeah buddy!! Can’t wait!”

He also released a statement over the news.

“I’m so excited to join forces with Greg Berlanti and The CW again on ‘The Flash.’ Being brought into the DC Universe is a dream, I can’t wait to get started,” Robbie’s statement read.

The actor will make his “The Flash” debut in the third episode of the series.
