The actor laughed off a question about whether he would “let” another actor play billionaire playboy-turned superhero Tony Stark.

“I like that the idea is that it would be up to me, like I’m casting director for Marvel,” he said.

In July, the actor hinted that a fourth “Iron Man” movie was at least a possibility.

“It’s that thing of: Why give up the belt when it feels like you can barely get jabbed?” he previously told Entertainment Weekly. “Most people are saying that right when they get knocked out.”

Adding, “The future is, as usual, uncertain.”

Despite his future solo “Iron Man” movies being uncertain, the actor will appear in at least two upcoming Marvel movies, “The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” which opens on May 1, 2015 and a third “Avengers” movie in 2018.
