Rod Stewart & Penny Lancaster Welcome Second Child; Eighth Overall For Rocker

It’s a boy for Rod Stewart and Penny Lancaster!

The rock ‘n roll dad and his wife welcomed a son on Wednesday, a rep for Stewart confirmed to Access Hollywood.

The couple’s new bundle of joy, Aiden, weighed in at 7 lbs., 12 oz.

“Mother and baby are healthy and blissfully happy,” the rep told Access on Thursday morning.

Aiden is the eighth child for the 66-year-old Stewart and marks his second child with Lancaster, who turns 40 in March – they also have a 5-year-old son together, Alastair.

“We were thrilled and delighted to be able to tell Alastair that he was going to be the big brother to a little baby, expected just before Mummy’s 40th birthday,” the couple said in a statement to Access Hollywood in August 2010 when they announced their latest pregnancy.

Aiden could prove to be the final addition to the rock icon’s brood.

In November 2010, he told the British talk show “GMTV,” “One more and then we’re going to close the office.”
