ROLL CALL: Eva Mendes’ Too Saucy For U.S. TV

Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans

Eva’s Ad Too Much For American Eyes: If you were hoping to catch a glimpse of Eva Mendes’ new Calvin Klein ad in full, you better not be stateside. The original version of the actress’ new commercial, which shows a semi-nude Eva frolicking in a bed, will not be shown in America due to too skin, Access has learned. Fans of the “Ghost Rider” actress who live in Europe can catch Eva’s ad on TV, or savvy Americans with Internet access should be able to find it. An edited version will shown in the U.S.

Lindsay Meets Sam’s Parents: Good gal pals, Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson, spent time with the Ronson family in Miami Monday afternoon, People reports. As for reports that Lindsay and Sam are a couple, an onlooker told the mag they “aren’t hiding their affection at all.” If they are dating, the Ronson family appears to be taken with Lindsay. “Everyone was having a good time. Lindsay and Sam were very comfortable with the group around. You can tell they’re so in love,” the onlooker added. “Lindsay seemed to really fit in. It seemed like everyone really likes her.”

Shannon & Derek Not Engaged: Despite the swirling rumors, former “Dancing With the Stars” partners, Derek Hough and Shannon Elizabeth, are not headed down the aisle. “There’s this whole weird rumor going around,” the actress told People. “One of them says that he proposed and I said no, and the other says he proposed and I said yes, and we’re getting married. Neither one is true.”

Zac Efron To Get Dark: “High School Musical” star Zac Efron is looking to go to the dark side — of film roles that is. “I’m looking for something new and exciting to do. I want to do something dark or a comedy,” the young star told OK! Magazine Sunday night at the Teen Choice Awards. “There’s tons of icons that I would love to work with on something new and exciting.” Maybe Zac could do a stint on Showtime’s often bloody “Dexter.”
