ROLL CALL: ‘Glee’s’ Ryan Murphy Fires Back At Kings Of Leon Over Music Use

Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans

“Glee” King Vs. The Kings Of Leon: Ryan Murphy might have one of TV’s hottest shows in his hip pocket, but as previously reported in the media, one of music’s hottest groups, Kings of Leon, continues not to allow the series to use any of their songs – and the “Glee” guru is continuing to sound off about it! “F*** you, Kings of Leon,” Ryan told The Hollywood Reporter for their current cover story on his hit show. “They’re self-centered a**holes, and they missed the big picture. They missed that a 7-year-old kid can see someone close to their age singing a Kings of Leon song, which will maybe make them want to join a glee club or pick up a musical instrument. It’s like, OK, hate on arts education. You can make fun of ‘Glee’ all you want, but at its heart, what we really do is turn kids on to music.” Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill doesn’t appear to think that he “missed the big picture” on the issue, Tweeting, “Dear Ryan Murphy, let it go. See a therapist, get a manicure, buy a new bra. Zip your lip and focus on educating 7yr olds how to say f***.” Roll Call is firmly on Team Leon when it comes to this rather obscure celebrity feud.
