ROLL CALL: Is Justin Bieber Responsible For Twitter’s Fail Whale?

Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans

Biebs Is Taxing Twitter!: Justin Bieber has over 5 million Twitter followers and according to one employee of the micro-blogging website, he takes up a lot of the company’s space. “At any moment, Justin Bieber uses 3% of our infrastructure. Racks of servers are dedicated to him,” Twitter employee Dustin Curtis Tweeted this week, quoting an unnamed co-worker. Dustin confirmed his Tweet to tech blog Gizmodo, saying the Biebs Twitter power Tweet was no joke – and neither are the millions of teens Tweeting about the wonders of the Biebs – just ask Kim Kardashian.

“Southland’s” Ben McKenzie Hits The Stage!: Ben McKenzie showed us his bad boy teen angst in “The O.C.” and then proved he can work the mean streets of LA on TNT’s “Southland,” but can Ben handle Tennessee Williams? The actor is joining the Long Wharf Theatre’s production of “The Glass Menagerie” at the Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. Ben will play the Gentleman Caller and join Judith Ivey, Patch Darragh and Keira Keeley in the production that runs this fall through October 17. Does this mean former “O.C.” fans will be invading the theater world of Los Angeles now – and will Mischa Barton come on opening night?

Calls For “Jersey Shore” Ronnie Spin-Off?: “Jersey Shore’s” always-feuding couple, Ronnie and Sammi, are not in the good graces of the public – at least not the voting public of PHILO(PlayPhilo.com). According to a recent poll on the new website, 74% of their users voted for a permanent split between the feuding lovers. A die-hard Ronnie fan (yeah, we’re surprised such people exist too!) even showed up at MTV’s LA offices with a petition asking that he get is own spin-off show. Without Snooki and The Situation involved, we’re pretty sure this idea won’t be seeing the light of the tanning bed.

More ‘Eclipse’?!: Attention Twi-Hards! “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” is heading back to theaters! According to the movie’s Facebook page, in honor of Bella’s birthday, “Eclipse” will hit the big screen for the last time. So, dust off your flannel shirt and tap into your inner teen vampire angst and wish Bella a happy birthday!

“Amazing Race” Girl – 0, Watermelon – 1!: “The Amazing Race” never ceases to amuse us and the upcoming season (premiering on September 26 on CBS) appears to be filled with plenty of action! Check out this clip of contestants Brooke and Claire attempting to get through a fruit-filled roadblock – (the best moment is at the 25 second mark)! We’re pretty certain they won’t be eating watermelon again anytime in the near future! See the fun, HERE!
