ROLL CALL: Jordin Sparks Eyes Movie Roles

Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans

Former “Idol” Eyes Movie Career: Jordin Sparks is hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow “Idols” who have made the leap to the big screen – and we’re not talking about something like “From Justin To Kelly.” The Season 6 “Idol” champ told AccessHollywood.com’s Dish of Salt Laura Saltman that a movie role might not be too far off. “I’m looking at some scripts,” she said on the red carpet at the “Jonas Brothers: 3D Concert Experience” premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood Tuesday night. “I’m just looking for the right one.” As for who she’s rooting for on this season of “Idol?” “I voted for Alexis Grace and Danny Gokey, and I really like Cassie Carlson.”

“Idol” Offered Helping Hand: Clay Aiken’s career might be aching a bit, ever since he was dropped from his record label, but his son’s uncle, David Foster – the mega-producer who has worked with Whitney, Madonna and Celine – told E! Online’s Marc Malkin he’s willing to help Clay cause a Claymate frenzy with some new music. “Clay is family,” David told E!. “And because Clay is family, if he needs my help, I’m happy to help him.”

“Idol’s” Slow 4th Hand: According to an interview in OK! Magazine, Paula Abdul said having a fourth judge on the hit FOX reality show kills the pace of the episode. “Kara and I have known each other for years and we get along great,” she reportedly told the mag. “But, we tried four judges before and it doesn’t work. It takes up so much time for each of us to give our opinion that it slows down the pace of the show.”

SamRo Serenades LiLo: In a performance we wish Simon Cowell had seen, Samatha Ronson took to the stage at Genghis Cohen in LA Tuesday night, singing girlfriend Lindsay Lohan a song, TMZ reported. “This is for Lindsay… ‘You get your heart broken sometimes and then you un-break it and break it again,’” Sam said. She then launched into a song that included lyrics like, “I’ll follow you out of control … I’m falling after you, in and out of love.” Lindsay, who was in the front row, was reportedly not happy about Sam’s little love diddy.

Zac & Vanessa Still Lovey Dovey: And in happier couple news, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were spotted by People at the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal City Walk this week celebrating their pal Bubba Lewis’s birthday. The couple was reportedly very affectionate with one another and had a “cute disposition together,” according to a fellow partygoer. Zac sang his “17 Again” co-star “Happy Birthday” and gave him a Guitar Center gift card. Maybe Bubba can buy Samantha Ronson’s old guitar, which we’re assuming Lindsay went and sold, after that odd song she sang!
