ROLL CALL: Kathy Griffin’s Choice Words For Elisabeth Hasselbeck

Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans

Brad Pitt’s New Spacey Role: Brad Pitt is returning to the classics for a new movie. The actor will star in film version of Homer’s “The Odyssey,” Variety reports. However, director George Miller, who brought us “Babe” and “Happy Feet,” will set the story in futuristic outer space setting. We’ve always thought Astronaut Brad Pitt had a nice ring to it.

Archuleta — The Actor: He might not have won the “American Idol” crown, but David Archuleta is at the top of his acting game, according to “iCarly” star Miranda Cosgrove. “He was really good,” Miranda told Us Weekly of David’s guest spot on the Nickelodeon show. “He said it was his first big acting part and he just kind of came in and we didn’t even rehearse or anything. We just went for it and it went really well.” Until David Cook dazzles us with a guest spot on the “Wizards Of Waverly Place,” Archuleta will remain number one in our book!

Kathy Griffin Slams “View’s” Hasselbeck: Kathy Griffin unleashed her disdain for “View” co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck in a new interview with Chicago’s Windy City Times. “Somehow, Elisabeth Hasselbeck has snowed American audiences into not knowing that she is a f****** ‘Survivor’ reject. I am sorry; I am going to listen to the political beliefs of someone who wore wacky scarves on ‘Survivor’? This notion that everyone has to be quiet and listen to Hasselbeck is out of control… I am not sure why Babs treats her like a rock star,” Kathy said. We can guess which red-haired comedian will continue to be banned from “The View.”

Chris Kirkpatrick Says Lance Was “Worst” *NSYNC Dancer: He might be impressing the judges and his fellow strutters on “Dancing With the Stars” now, but Lance Bass hasn’t always been considered the best on the dance floor. “We used to joke with Lance because he was the worst dancer in the group,” Kirkpatrick told People at the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals For Children Open in Las Vegas. After seeing his former boy band pal on the ABC series, Chris is impressed with Lance’s turn around. “But, he’s amazing on the show. He’s got such poise and he’s really confident in his dancing. He’s really good, surprisingly good.”
