Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans: August 20, 2007 by Tommy Vergason

LINDSAY’S NEW TUNE?: Insiders reportedly told THE NY DAILY NEWS’ RUSH & MOLLOY that Lindsay Lohan has “let Universal Music execs know she’s ready to deliver the third album she owes.” But is Universal ready to re-team with the troubled star? “The feeling is she needs to get herself cleaned up,” said an insider. “Then we can talk about it.”

PARIS POWER!: The long-rumored Paris Hilton cartoon series from comic book legend Stan Lee is looking more like a reality. Lee told THE NY POST’s CINDY ADAMS that he has a “first-look deal” with Disney, and that he’s been working closely with Hilton on the project. “We get on very well,” he reportedly said of Paris. “She attends every meeting.” Check back with AccessHollywood.com on Tuesday for an exclusive interview with Stan from his memorabilia-filled office!

TOUR, INTERRUPTED: British singer Lily Allen had hoped to launch her U.S. tour in September, after having her U.S. work visa revoked. But the reinstatement of her visa is taking “longer than expected,” her publicist told MTV.COM, forcing her to cancel her Sept. dates, as well as her appearance on the Sept. 9th MTV VMA’s.

HERO FROM ‘MARS’: Despite her show being cancelled, “Veronica Mars’ star Kristen Bell will return to TV this fall…as the latest addition to the cast of “Heroes!” VARIETY reports that Bell will be in a multi-episode arc as Elle, a character described as a “sexy, mysterious young lady” who has ties to Peter and Claire.

SUPER SINGING: “Heroes” and “Ugly Betty” cast members were among those who took part in the “Hot in Hollywood” benefit for AIDS causes on Saturday. USA TODAY reports that “Heroes” stars Zachary Quinto (“Sylar“), Sendhil Ramamurthy (“Mohinder)“, Jack Coleman (“Noah“) and James Kyson Lee (“Ando“) performed a medley. Milo Ventimiglia (“Peter“) introduced them, but joked, “I’m not a singer. I’ll pick up your microphone if it falls.” The event in LA was hosted by “My Name is Earl” star Jaime Pressly.
