ROLL CALL: ‘New Moon’ Screenwriter: Vanessa Hudgens Not Likely For ‘New Moon’

Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans

Is Vanessa Hudgens Getting Eclipsed?: In what might be welcome news to Twi-hards and Fanpires out there (or, horrible news for “HSM” devotees), Vanessa Hudgens is not going to be making an appearance in “New Moon,” as the character Leah – at least not yet. “I’m not sure about [final] casting but I had heard Vanessa Hudgens was going up for the part of Leah [Clearwater, a werewolf],” screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who wrote both films, told People at the 61st Annual Directors Guild of America Awards in Los Angeles Saturday night. “But at the moment, the part of Leah doesn’t happen until the third movie.” So, it could be awhile before fans get to see Vanessa go “Teen Wolf” – that is, if it happens at all.

Hermione Not Up For Potter-like Shock: In more young starlet news, Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe might be co-stars in the “Harry Potter” series, but the young actress told Britain’s The Daily Mail Sunday Live Magazine that she’s not about to do anything as shocking as Daniel’s nude “Equus” work. “I have no plans to do anything for the sake of it, or to shock people,” the 18-year-old actress told the mag. “I might be willing to take my clothes off for a Bernardo Bertolucci film, if it was a part that really made sense as part of my character. But I wouldn’t do it just to make a point, to move on from Hermione.” Emma… thanks for always the voice of reason and maturity – in or out of Hogwarts.

Nikki Blonsky On Her “Strong Family”& “Scam” Brawl: And in other not so mature young Hollywood news, Nikki Blonsky told People that her airport brawl with “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Bianca Golden has brought her family closer. “We are a very strong family, we love each other and nothing will ever tear us down,” Nikki told People Saturday night at the Silver Living Society Winter Gala in NYC to benefit The Hope & Heroes Children’s Cancer Fund. “I don’t even need to defend myself. It’s pretty obvious that it was just a big scam.” After all, the family that brawls together stays together!
