ROLL CALL: Queen Latifah: ‘I Don’t Care If People Think I’m Gay Or Not’

Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans

Queen Latifah Doesn’t Want Anyone In Personal Life — End Of Story: During an interview with the New York Times’ Alex Witchel over the weekend, Queen Latifah threw down the gauntlet when it comes to people speculating about her sexuality. “I don’t have a problem discussing the topic of somebody being gay, but I do have a problem discussing my personal life. You don’t get that part of me. Sorry. We’re not discussing it in our meetings, we’re not discussing it at Cover Girl.” Queen Latifah told Witchel. “I don’t feel like I need to share my personal life, and I don’t care if people think I’m gay or not. Assume whatever you want. You do it anyway.” The Queen has spoken!

Kanye is Keen On Ellen’s Style: Kanye, who is no stranger to style, gave Ellen DeGeneres fashion props on her talk show Tuesday, telling Ellen, “You have really great style. Seriously, this is one of the people you should look at when ever you’re trying to figure out how to put together an outfit – especially for guys.” Ellen sported a sweater, jeans and a button-down shirt. “I would completely wear [that],” Kanye said. Sounds like Ellen needs to unveil a fashion line — she’d have at least one high-profile customer!

Amy Update: Despite various reports and multiple not-so-flattering photos of Amy Winehouse, the Brit singer’s rep tells People that the songbird is doing well. “She’s fine,” her rep told the mag. Amy even met up with her dad at the Dorchester last night for dinner and the singer has reportedly been invited to sing on the Quincy Jones tribute album. Keep up the singing Amy!

Stars Eat Too!: Despite the cliché of Hollywood starving itself, Jessica Alba, Elizabeth Shue and the Jonas Brothers are not living up to that stereotype. People spotted Jessica celebrating a friend’s birthday at Eva Longoria Parker’s restaurant Beso and the mag also caught Elizabeth Shue and family beating the Los Angeles heat with strawberry gelato at N’iceCream over the weekend. The Disney brothers munched on coconut shrimp and signature mini ice cream cones at The Kress in Hollywood, before stopping by the kitchen to give a shout out to the chef. Yummy… and classy!
