Nerds & College Sports To Collide!: Will the University of Mississippi Rebels (Ole Miss) finally get the leader of the “Star Wars” Rebel Alliance as their mascot? TMZ reported that the university has voted to replace their old mascot – Colonel Reb. And the galaxy’s most famous Mon Calamari, Admiral Ackbar, is the favorite choice among students. The final decision is reportedly up to the Ole Miss’ student mascot committee. No word if George Lucas would allow the university the right to use his character as their mascot – or if Jar Jar Binks is jealous.
J-WOWW Not Wowed With Her Wardrobe: “Jersey Shore’s” Jenni “J-WOWW” Farley has a few regrets when she looks back on the first season of her MTV hit series – mainly her entire wardrobe! MTV asked her about her biggest fashion regret while taping and she said, “Oh! Everything on the show.” Hmm…for us, her infamous scoop neck blouse and acid washed jeans (which she seemed to wear in almost every episode) stand out has our favorite J-WOWW fashion flub! Better luck in season two!
The Situation Goes To Leo Land: In more “Shore” news, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino got to go somewhere usually reserved only for Leonardo DiCaprio! Photos surfaced on Pop Sugar of the reality star with model Bar Refaeli riding on his shoulders. Luckily for The Situation, Leo is an admitted fan of the MTV series.
Whitney Continues Down Under: The Whitney Houston comeback train continues to roll through Australia. After a shaky start in Brisbane on Tuesday, the singer showed up in Sydney on Wednesday night – and wasn’t exactly looking her best. We’re still pulling for you Whitney but please stop pulling at your weave!
“ANTM” Makeover!: And lastly, we couldn’t leave without sharing the dramatic transformation of “America’s Next Top Model” Cycle Two winner Younna House that TMZ pointed out here! Well, at least she’s learned how to “smize” (smiling with your eyes) without actually doing anything with her eyes. Where’s Heidi Montag 2.0? We’d like to see a “smize” off!
