ROLL CALL: Star Wars: Episode VII Casting Rumors With Ryan Gosling, Zac Efron & Leonardo DiCaprio

Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Casting Shenanigans

Let The “Star Wars” Casting Rumors Continue!: Disney/Lucasfilm has not announced anyone who might be wielding a lightsaber in the upcoming “Star Wars: Episode VII,” which is supposedly set 30 years after “Return of the Jedi” and slated to hit theaters in summer 2015. But, Latino Review (which is no slouch when it comes to scoops) reported that Ryan Gosling, Zac Efron and Leonardo DiCaprio have all had meetings about possibly starring in the project. The site reported that Leo passed in order to finally get the long planned “Robotech” movie off the ground. Ryan’s rep shot down the “Star Wars” rumors like Han Solo blasting Greedo in the Mos Eisley Cantina, telling HuffPo, “This is not true.” So that leaves Zac?! Who – if cast – would be the dreamiest star to ever hang out with a Wookie.

Sandra Bullock Cold On “Heat” Sequel: Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy might have burned up the box office with their summer buddy cop movie, “The Heat” (making more than $130 million domestically), but don’t expect more from the comedy duo. “I know they say never say never, but right now, I can’t imagine it,” Sandra told Entertainment Weekly of a rumored sequel. “I don’t want to ruin what Melissa and I had. In fact, it would take a stellar script to get her back. If a miracle happens where [a script] shows up that really and truly outdid the first and provided an experience that was better than the first one, then I would look at it. But I’m not there,” she added.

Let The Bynes Impressions Continue: Amanda Bynes impressions? We’re shocked this didn’t start sooner. “Spring Breakers” star Ashley Benson took to Instagram where she offered up her “Amanda Bynes look.” So, does she pull it off – in the pic that has since been deleted, but Buzzfeed captured?
