Tom Cruise Says Show Me The Writers: He’s battled
aliens and taken down enemy fighter planes, so it’s no surprise the writer’s
strike was no match for Tom Cruise.
United Artists, the production company Tom heads with Paula Wagner, has
agreed to sign an “interim deal” with the WGA, similar to the deal
Letterman signed, according to a report in Variety. Will the rest of
Hollywood’s production companies follow in Tom’s footsteps?

Clooney Not A Strike Captain: Despite reports that George Clooney was responsible
for leading the actors strike of the upcoming Golden Globes and Oscar
ceremonies in support of the ongoing writer’s strike, a rep for the
“Michael Clayton” actor tells Deadline Hollywood, these
reports are “100% false. The only thing he EVER said was he would not
cross a picket line.”

Jessica & Tony
Head South Of The Border
: Much to the disappointment of football fans who
are blaming the quarterback’s recent issues on his pop star gal pal, Cowboys QB
Tony Romo jetted down to Mexico with Jessica Simpson on Friday, according to People.
The couple enjoyed some poolside relaxation before Tony’s big playoff this
coming weekend. Of course, the getaway also provided the couple with an escape
from the fans (and even teammates) who voiced their opposition to the
relationship.

‘Laguna Beach’ Star Gets Legal In Sin City: Kristin Cavallari celebrated her 21st
birthday at LAX nightclub in Vegas, according to People. The reality star threw down on the dance
floor to Soulja Boy with a gaggle of friends. Kristin would not confirm if
she’ll be coming to “The Hills” but did confirm how she got her drink
on, saying, “ “My first official drink was Grey Goose and soda. It’s
really exciting. I can go to the clubs and not worry about anything.”

Potter Pays For Pints- Everyone’s Pints!: Speaking of getting your drink on, everyone’s
favorite wizard, Daniel Radcliffe, reportedly spent almost $1,000 at a bar in
Chelsea, England, where he allegedly bought everyone’s drinks,
according to a report by The Sun. A
source told the mag he busted some moves on the dance floor in an effort to
impress the Muggle ladies saying, “He spent most of the night on the dance
floor with two slim, well-spoken girls who were clearly impressed by his fame.
He was asking the DJ to play his favourite songs between chatting up one of the
blondes. They both left at the same time.”
