Roll Call: ‘True Blood’ Star Deborah Ann Woll Lands ‘Daredevil’ Role

New Role For “True Blood” Vamp: Deborah Ann Woll, who plays vampire Jessica on HBO’s “True Blood,” has landed a sweet new role as her time in Bon Temps is coming to a close. According to EW, the actress will play Karen Page on the Marvel “Daredevil” TV series on Netflix. The character is the hero’s longest-running love interest in the comic books and was only briefly shown in the previous Ben Affleck big screen version. She will co-star with Charlie Cox as Murdock/Daredevil, Vincent D’Onofrio as crime lord Kingpin and Rosario Dawson, whose role is being kept under wraps. “Daredevil” is slated to hit Netflix in 2015.

Captain America Takes Flight!: The comic book world of Captain America is being shaken up as Sam Wilson, otherwise known as Falcon, will take over the mantle from Steve Rogers, who has been injured. The new Cap will debut in “All-New Captain America” #1.

“Potter” Villain Heads To “Star Wars Rebels”: “Harry Potter” alum Jason Isaacs has joined the Disney animated series, “Star Wars Rebels,” playing The Inquisitor, the one whose mission is tracking down Jedi and killing them following The Clone Wars. The animated series takes place between the movies “Episode III” and “Episode IV” and will debut as a one-hour special this fall on Disney Channel and then air as a series on Disney XD.
