Production has not yet officially started on the American remake of “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” but co-star Rooney Mara is already suiting up and training for the role of Lisbeth Salander.
On Tuesday, the first images surfaced on RooneyMara.net of the actress riding a motorcycle while sporting a Lisbeth-like outfit and hairdo.
According to the fansite, the shots were taken on location in Sweden on September 3.

A rep from Sony, the studio behind the upcoming Millennium Trilogy franchise based on the books by Stieg Larsson , told Access Hollywood on Tuesday that the actress is only seen training in these shots and that the images are not official from the upcoming David Fincher movie. The rep stressed that production has not yet begun.
“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” hits theaters on December 21, 2011.
