Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Says Earning Top Spot On Maxim’s Hot 100 Made Jason Statham ‘Very Happy’

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has captivated fashion fans on the catwalk for Victoria’s Secret, landed her first acting gig opposite Shia LaBeouf in “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” and was recently announced as Maxim’s Hottest Woman on Earth.

As if the aforementioned facts weren’t reason enough to envy the pouty blonde, the British bombshell is dating “Expendables” hunk Jason Statham, and she says her action star boyfriend is thrilled with her latest title!

“He’s very happy,” Rosie told Access Hollywood of Jason’s reaction to her Maxim crowning at Maxim’s Hot 100 Awards in Hollywood on Wednesday. “We’re very proud and excited — it’s really a fun time for us right now!”

The refreshingly humble beauty said she was shocked when she received the call from the men’s magazine saying she was being honored for her hotness.

“When I was first told, I had to ask whether they had called the right person,” she told Access. “And then when I was assured that I was the right person, I had a good long look in the mirror and I went, ‘How the hell did you get it, girl?!’

“But yeah, I thought, ‘I can live with that for a year. I can live with that,’” Rosie added. “It’s a great title. I’m really honored. Very special.”

The 24–year-old model/actress also revealed she has seen “bits” of her upcoming “Transformers” flick and said it “looks fantastic” – especially the numerous scenes that required her to take on the painful task of running in heels.

“Well, the first thing I wanted to do was make sure that I could run properly because my run was only what I could describe with being kind of close to Phoebe from ‘Friends’ before,” Rosie told Access of her, at-first, awkward onscreen trot. “My trainer insisted that we got into the gym ASAP to get my run sorted out and we did.

“And then running in heels is like a whole other challenge,” she continued. “There [were] a few slips and trips, and there [were] a few grazes and cuts and bruises, but all in the aid for the movie.”

See Rosie’s big screen debut when “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” – which also stars Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel and “Grey’s Anatomy’s” Patrick Dempsey — hits theaters on July 1.
