Rosie O’Donnell Is ‘Cancer Free’ Following Breast Cancer Scare

After a brief breast cancer scare, Rosie O’Donnell has revealed she is cancer free.

The former “View” moderator turned SIRIUS XM radio host revealed on her Rosie.com blog on Monday that she was awaiting a biopsy on some tissue after doctors found two lumps in her breast. On Tuesday afternoon, however, she wrote a haiku on her website, noting that the tests came back with positive news.

“CANCER FREE,” she wrote in all caps.

“thank u,” she added to her fans, who were praying for the star, who lost her own mother to breast cancer. Rosie was 11 when her mother, who was 39, died.

Rosie, who is heading back to television soon to host a show on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), noted she was watching Barbra Streisand on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” as she typed her cancer free news, and added that things were “as close 2 perfect as life gets.”

Earlier in the day, the star revealed the details of her breast cancer scare while hosting her Sirius XM radio show, “Rosie Radio.”

“The doctor said there are two spots, one on each breast, they’re very low suspicion, but they’re — you should pay attention to them and you should have them biopsied,” she told her listeners. “So, I went to my breast surgeon and… she read the MRI and said, ‘Let’s do another one and lets do a mammogram, then lets do a sonogram,’ and then she said, ‘OK, now I’d like to take them out.’ And I said, ‘Today?’ and she said, ‘Yes.’”

On her blog on Tuesday, Rosie added that she hoped other women in her position received similar good news.

“i see the faces of the women in the waiting room praying they too got good news today,” she concluded.
