Rosie O’Donnell ‘Lucky To Be Here’ After Suffering Heart Attack

Rosie O’Donnell is recovering following a heart attack last week.

Rosie suffered a heart attack last Tuesday and on her Rosie.com blog on Monday afternoon, she explained the incident happened after helping a woman get out of a vehicle.

“i turned and saw an enormous woman/struggling to get out of her car/she was stuck,” Rosie explained, penning her blog in her favorite haiku fashion.

“as i braced myself and lifted her/it was not easy/but together we did it/she was up and on her way/with gratitude,” she added.

The actress and comedian explained that a few hours after the incident she was in pain.

“i had an ache in my chest/both my arms were sore/everything felt bruised,” she wrote.

The pain continued and Rosie said she grew “clammy,” and began feeling “very hot” before eventually vomiting.

Rosie explained that she hit the Internet only to realize she was experiencing some women’s heart attack symptoms, prompting her to take an aspirin.

“i took some bayer aspirin/thank god/saved by a tv commercial/literally,” she continued.

She eventually sought medical attention the next day and a doctor placed a stent in her heart, letting her know one of her arteries was “99% blocked.”

“they call this type of heart attack/the Widow maker,” she noted. “I am lucky to be here.”
