Rosie O’Donnell secretly married Michelle Rounds in June — and on Monday, the actress finally revealed the happy news.
“we married in private / before her surgery / just the 2 of us,” Rosie wrote on her blog on Monday about her wife, who was diagnosed with desmoid tumors. Michelle had her first surgery on June 14 after getting married to the TV star.
Rosie, who suffered a heart attack earlier this month, said she and Michelle plan to have a ceremony in the future.
“when we r both well enough / will have the wedding of r dreams / surrounded by those we cherish / thankful for the love and support / so many have given us / during these trying times,” she continued on her blog.
The pair, who announced their engagement in December, originally planned to wed in August.
Rosie’s rep also confirmed the news to People, saying, “They got married but they haven’t had the wedding celebration.”
The star, who last appeared on the small screen on OWN hosting “The Rosie Show,” previously dated Tracy Kachtick-Anders until they split in 2011.
She was also with longtime partner Kelli Carpenter from 2004 to 2007.
Rosie and Kelli have four children together – Parker, Chelsea and Blake, who were all adopted and Vivienne Rose, who Kelli gave birth to in 2002.
