Sam Worthington: I’m No ‘Pretty Boy’ In ‘Sabotage’

Sam Worthington knows he’s blessed in the looks department, but the Aussie actor attempts to play his handsome features down in his latest movie, “Sabotage.”

“David [Ayer], the director, and me had an idea – we kind of wanted to get away from all the pretty boy stuff and then we had some inspirations from some actual guys that, you know, we kind of took our references from,” Sam told Access Hollywood of his roughed-up look at the “Sabotage” premiere in Los Angeles on Wednesday. “I got to bulk up and bold up and quick grow my hair in, and then create a bit of mischief.”

Adding, “Good fun.”

The “Avatar” star got to work alongside Joe Manganiello and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the drug-bust action film, and he said working with Arnie was a dream come true.

“Arnold’s a legend,” Sam said. “He’s an icon, and, you know, every day he’s such a gentleman.

“He makes it kind of a beautiful family atmosphere and he’s a beautiful, lovely man,” he continued. “I loved every minute of it.”

“Sabotage” hits theaters on March 28.
