Samantha Harris Leaving ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Samantha Harris is “Dancing” no more.

After eight seasons in the ballroom, the “Dancing with the Stars” co-host will not return to the ABC reality series for the show’s upcoming tenth season, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

“[‘Dancing with the Stars’] could not have been more of a dream job,” Harris told People. “I loved every single second of it and I’ve made lifelong friends at the show.”

And the folks at DWTS had nothing but fond words for their departing colleague.

“It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Samantha since she joined the ‘DWTS’ team in Season 2,” executive producer Conrad Green said in a statement to Access. “She will be much missed, but always part of the ‘DWTS’ family. We support her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

However, if host Tom Bergeron has anything to say about it, we haven’t seen the last of Harris in the ballroom.

“I’ve been known to try to twist arms behind the scenes,” he told People. “I’m hoping this frees her up for us to have her as a contestant.”

The new season of “Dancing with the Stars” bows March 22 on ABC.
