Samuel L. Jackson Is ‘Geeked’ For Star Wars VII, Wants To Star In Upcoming Trilogy

The list of former “Star Wars” actors throwing their hats in the ring for “Episode VII” continues to grow.

The latest star to join the roster of hopefuls? Samuel L. Jackson (aka Mace Windu).

“I’m not surprised but totally geeked by the idea of there being more ‘Star Wars,’” the actor told E! News on Friday. “It’s like, okay, Obi-Wan was dead when episode four started, so maybe everyone thinks I’m dead and we’ll find out what happened to Mace Windu.”

The “Avengers” star’s schedule is swamped — he has three films currently in production – but when asked if he’d like to return for “Episode VII,” the actor gave an enthusiastic “Hell yeah!”

“I can come back as one-armed or a one-handed Jedi that’s still around that didn’t actually die,” he said. “I could do that or be a ghost hologram. I don’t care!”

Adding, “I just want to stay associated with the franchise. Not that I won’t, because I’ve been in three of them.”
As for why the actor is drawn to the sci-fi world, Sam said he loves the concept of life in other in galaxies far, far away.

“I just always loved it. I always loved the idea of it, that there’s this whole civilization out there somewhere else that’s just as much fun and different and diverse and wild as we are,” he said.

“Star Wars: Episode VII” is slated for theatrical release in 2015.
