Sandra Bullock Donates $1 Million To Japan Earthquake & Disaster Relief

Sandra Bullock has donated $1 million towards the earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan.

The actress gave the generous sum to the American Red Cross, the organization told CNN on Thursday.

“The American Red Cross is extremely grateful for this generous support from Sandra Bullock and her family,” a rep from The Red Cross said in a statement to Access. “This contribution is vitally important as the Red Cross works to provide critical assistance and essential relief items in this time of urgent need for so many people in Japan.”

Sandra joins stars including Lady Gaga, Yoko Ono, Mike Shinoda of the band Linkin Park and Charlie Sheen who have all raised funds for the crisis in the Pacific island nation.

If you would like to help, you can text “REDCROSS” to 90999 to make a $10 donation to the organization. For additional ways to give support, CLICK HERE.
