Sarah Jessica Parker Honored By ELLE; Wants To Avoid Playing Carrie Bradshaw Characters

ELLE magazine is honoring inspiring ladies once again, and the mag chose Sarah Jessica Parker for it’s 19th annual Women In Hollywood Issue cover star.

SJP joined a list of ladies being honored by the mag, including Emma Watson, Cate Blanchett, Elle Fanning, Shirley MacLaine, Susan Sarandon, Octavia Spencer, Uma Thurman and Kristen Wiig.

Speaking to the mag for the issue, Sarah Jessica revealed she has no interest in playing a Carrie Bradshaw-style “Sex and The City” character in the future.

“I don’t love the idea of playing another woman who loves fashion and is slightly flawed in New York City,” the actress, who is currently starring as Vogue.com editor Isabel on “Glee,” told the mag. “I loved Carrie, and I don’t want to do the poor man’s version of her. And while those are often the lucrative things to do, it’s more reason to look in the other direction.”

Sarah Jessica and her fellow honorees will be honored October 15 in Los Angeles by ELLE.
