Sarah Jessica Parker On Resurrecting ‘Sex’ & The Possible Sequel

In May, the “Sex and the City: The Movie” will debut in theaters, giving fans of the hit HBO series a chance to reconnect with their favorite four ladies of NYC for the first time in four years. Now, Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays writer Carrie Bradshaw, tells Access Hollywood how she resurrected the project after many assumed the last cosmo had been drunk.

“It took me a year and a half to put this movie back together again,” Sarah Jessica tells Access. “I never in a million years thought I could. Our goal was to get the four women on that set. Low and behold, we did and it was thrilling.”

With the plot of the film still under wraps, fans will have to wait until the movie opens to find out if Carrie ends up in wedded bliss with her man, Mr. Big. But Sarah Jessica did reveal to Access that fans could expect a grown-up movie.

“People are gonna be stunned, floored, and happy,” the actress notes of the plot.

“They’re gonna be happy, surprised, feel a lot of sadness, and hopefully understand what it is that’s happened in Carrie’s life.”

And what about the possibility of a “Sex” and the sequel?

“We’ll see,” Sarah Jessica says. “We are back because of the good graces of the audience. They really are the determining factor.”

“Sex and the City” fans will find out the answers to all their burning questions on May 30.
