Sarah Jessica Parker Skipping Super Bowl Despite Husband’s ‘Ferris Bueller’-Themed Ad: ‘I Have Absolutely No Interest’

There’s at least one celebrity who will not be tuning in to catch the action on football’s biggest day – Sarah Jessica Parker.

Despite the fact that husband Matthew Broderick stars in what will most likely go down as one of this year’s favorite Super Bowl commercials (a “Ferris Bueller”-themed ad for the 2012 Honda CR-V), Sarah Jessica is going to skip the show.

“I can tell you honestly, I will not be watching the football game,” SJP told USA Today in a recent interview from the set of her new film, “Lovelace.” “I have absolutely no interest.”

The “Sex and The City” icon said it’s not necessarily that she dislikes the sport, but that being a working mother of three, she would rather spend her precious downtime catching up on her favorite shows.

“How long does [the game] last? Up to four hours? Really?” she said. “If I had four hours of leisure time, I would watch the first episode of ‘Luck’ and start the first season of ‘Mad Men’ or ‘Downton Abbey.’ You get my point.”

And the actress won’t miss her husband’s commercial by opting to tune out – she’s already seen (and “loved”) multiple versions of the ad.

“The longer one is the better one,” SJP said of the extended version. “Because they really are able to dial it up.”
