Sarah Palin Watches Debate With Joe Six Packers In North Carolina

While senators Barack Obama and John McCain were locked in a war of words in Nashville on Tuesday night for the second of three Presidential debates, Alaska Governor and vice presidential hopeful Sarah Palin enjoyed the verbal tete-a-tete with Main Street type folk at a Greenville, N.C. pizzieria, according to the Washington Post.

A debate viewing party was not scheduled for Palin, according to the Post, but at the last minute, the governor told her aides and press that she didn’t want to watch the presidential debate “in my hotel room with just campaign staffers.”

Team Palin, along with Charlotte mayor Patrick McCrory and North Carolina Republican senators Elizabeth Dole and Richard Burr went to Boli’s on the Boulevard to enjoy the McCain/Obama showdown.

Palin reportedly sported a casual look, wearing blue jeans a purple windbreaker.

Following the conclusion of the debate, Palin told reporters, “It was a great night for America. [McCain’s] proposing real plans that will work for economic recovery and energy independence.”

As for her thoughts on Obama, Palin was not very clear with reporters.

“I think Barack was even less candid than usual,” she added, not offering any further explanation.
