Sasha & Malia Obama Start School

Sasha and Malia Obama started off 2009 with their first day at their new school – on a campus that is no stranger to presidential children.

The Obama girls, ages 7 and 10, began classes on separate campuses at the private Sidwell Friends School on Monday. The school, which is a Quaker academy, is also where Chelsea Clinton attended.

Sasha’s second grade class is at the school’s Bethesda, Maryland, campus, while Malia’s fifth grade studies will in Washington, D.C.

Tuition fees for Sasha’s elementary school are $28,442, while Malia’s middle school costs $29,442, per year.
