‘Saved By The Bell’ Reunion With Jimmy Fallon

It was TV time warp gold on “The Tonight Show” on Wednesday when Jimmy Fallon created an epic “Saved by the Bell” reunion with most of the original stars!

Jimmy Fallon, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez during the ‘Saved by the Bell’ skit on ‘The Tonight Show’ on February 4, 2015 (NBC)

“Not many people know this, but I actually went to high school out here,” Jimmy said. “I remember it like it was yesterday.”

And then the flashback magic began as a teenage Jimmy was transported back to Bayside High with Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Thiessen), A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez) and Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley) – even Mr. Richard Belding (Dennis Haskins) made an appearance.

Unfortunately, Dustin Diamond and Lark Voohries were nowhere to be seen in the recreated halls of Bayside.

Some of the sketch (where everyone appeared as though they had never aged) highlights included:

Mark-Paul poking fun at the show’s theme song after Jimmy asked him how his day way, saying, “Oh, you know. Typical day. I woke up in the morning. The alarm gave out a warning. I didn’t think I’d ever make it on time. By the time I grabbed my books and I gave myself a look I was at the corner just in time to see the bus fly by.”

Mario ripping off his clothes to reveal a black form-fitting body suit, which he then performed ballet in!

Elizabeth recreating this classic line, “I’m so excited! I’m so excited! I’m so…scared,” when she finds out Jimmy is moving to New York City in an attempt to appear on “Saturday Night Live” and “maybe one day, date Nicole Kidman.”

The sketch also had a pregnancy reveal when Tiffani entered as Kelly sporting baby bump under her cheerleader uniform.

“Time out!” Mark-Paul said as former co-stars and Jimmy froze. “Well, the downside is I’ll probably be grounded for life. But on the plus side, I got Kelly Kapowsky pregnant. Time in!”

The sketch ended in the best possible way, a Zack Attack “Friends Forever” lip sync!
