Gladiators, prepare yourselves – the “Scandal” Season 2 finale is going to be a wild ride, so say the series’ stars.

“I feel like everybody takes their level up 10 notches in the season finale,” Kerry Washington told Access Hollywood of the finale, which will air on Thursday, at the ABC Upfronts in New York City. “Everybody gives, in my opinion, their best performance of the season… it’s such a good episode.”

Jeff Perry, who plays Cyrus on the ABC drama, said the entire cast was blown away by the episode’s twists and turns.

“The amount of shocking events in this finale – a whole lot of stuff gets resolved and, true to the amazing [creator] Shonda Rhimes, two or three giant things loom and become big problems,” he told Access.

Bellamy Young (First Lady Mellie Grant) said, “It’s mind blowing. You can’t believe what a good episode of television it is.”

Kerry, who plays crisis manager Olivia Pope on the show, said she and her cast mates have hatched an elaborate plan to discover what will happen to their characters in the coming season.

“We have absolutely no idea what’s going to happen in Season 3. And trust me, when you get to the cliffhanger in Season 2, you’re going to be dying to know what happens in Season 3!” she said. “So, between you and I, we, the actors, are planning like, a Watergate-type break in of the writers room.

“We’re all gonna dress in black, break in, steal story ideas and report it to you,” she added with a laugh.

The 36-year-old beauty also said she’s thrilled that “Scandal” has earned such a broad fan base.
