Prosecutors have charged “Scandal” star Columbus Short with felony battery after they say he hit a man and caused serious injuries earlier this month.
Jail records show Short was arrested by police in Claremont, Calif., on Wednesday, one day after he was charged with committing a battery that caused serious bodily harm.
Los Angeles police say the 31-year-old actor was involved in a dispute with a man at a West Los Angeles restaurant on March 15 before Short hit the man and knocked him out.

Records show he was released Wednesday after posting $50,000 bail.
A phone number for Jeff Jacquet, Short’s attorney in another criminal case, had a full voicemail box, and a message sent via fax was not immediately returned.
