Scarlett Johansson Set To Entertain Gulf Troops

The dreams of thousands of soldiers are about to answered — Scarlett Johansson will be visiting troops overseas.

The actress is headed to the Persian Gulf as part of the USO tour, according to a report in People.

“This USO tour to the Gulf region truly means a lot. I’ve wanted to go over and visit for some time, and now my moment has arrived,” says Johansson.

The Woody Allen darling is also a favorite of the troops. The “Lost in Translation” star, who receives enormous amount of mail from enlisted men and women, thought a visit would be more exciting than a letter back.

“It’s one thing to reply to a letter or extend your thanks to service members in a speech, but it’s another thing to visit them and spend time with those that do so much for us back home,” she said in a statement released by the USO.
