Sean Kingston Stable, On Ventilator Following Jet Ski Crash; Justin Bieber Tweets For Prayers

“Beautiful Girls” singer Sean Kingston is in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit of a Miami hospital just two days after he was involved in a jet ski crash over the Memorial Day weekend.

“Sean Kingston is currently in critical but stable condition at Ryder Trauma Center at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center,” his rep said in a statement to Access Hollywood on Tuesday. “Sean’s family asks for privacy at this time but is thankful to his friends, family and fans for their outpouring of prayers and well wishes.”

According to MTV News, Kingston is on a ventilator and has a tube inserted into his throat.

“He is aware of what is going on around him,” his rep told MTV News, adding Kingston “is sedated but fully conscious.”

Kingston’s crash on Sunday also sent his jet ski passenger – a female friend named Cassandra Sanchez – to the hospital. She has since been released, according to MTV.

Sanchez told TMZ that she warned Kingston to slow down before they hit a bridge on Sunday.

”‘We can’t fit under there! Are we going to try and go under there?’” Sanchez said she told Kingston as they headed toward the bridge.

She added that she believes Kingston attempted to turn the watercraft they were on away from the low bridge too late, and because they were going “really fast,” they hit the bridge.

Still in ICU, Kingston’s friends have sent out their love, support and prayers on Twitter, most especially, Justin Bieber, with whom Kingston collaborated on the track “Eenie Meenie” in 2010.

“I will continue to pray and support my friend. #getwellsean,” the Canadian powerhouse wrote in one of his many Tweets regarding Kingston over the weekend.

Bieber also noted that Kingston “is doing better but out of respect to his family I will wait for them to comment.”

Rihanna also shared her love for the singer, writing “Sean we praying for u baby.”

Nicki Minaj wrote, “My love & prayers are with Sean Kingston & his family.”
