Sean Lowe sent Desiree Hartsock packing, but “The Bachelor” says the26-year-old beauty has his vote for the new “Bachelorette”!
“In my opinion, I think it has to be Des,” Sean told Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Thursday’s Access Hollywood Live, when asked which girl he thinks should be crowned the new “Bachelorette.” “I mean, she’s America’s sweetheart.”
When Sean kicked the LA-based bridal stylist off of the ABC reality dating series, he said he received a ton of online heat from angry viewers slamming him for making (what they deemed) the wrong decision.
“I got just killed on Twitter after I sent her home!” he said. “Everyone was saying, ‘You idiot! How could you let her go?’”
While picking a lady from a bevy of 25 eligible beauties may seem like a dream job, Sean admitted his emotions got the best of him a few times – especially when discussing his choices with his teary mom.
“[My mom] is the sweetest woman in the world — I hate seeing her cry. She was so stressed out for me,” he said. “She knew I had this monumental decision in front of me, and I think she wants the best for her son and she didn’t want me to make a mistake. So, it was stressing her out.”
Adding, “I think throughout the season I did a good job at keeping myself grounded, because that’s where I come from.”
