Sean Penn takes his relationship with Charlize Theron very seriously!
While in Paris for the Cesar Awards, the actor interrupted a reporter when the interviewer asked about Sean’s “girlfriend.”

“No, no, excuse me, Charlize is not my girlfriend,” the 54-year-old reportedly told Le Parisien, via People. “She’s the love of my life.”
Sean was given an honorary award at the event (and earned a standing ovation), as Charlize, 39 – who looked stunning in a red dress – proudly looked on.
“We have a very strong relationship,” Sean told the French outlet. “[We] have known each other for a very long time. But we weren’t together.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Sean and Charlize first stepped out as a couple in January 2014.
The actress was previously linked to Stuart Townsend, while Sean has been married twice (to Madonna, then Robin Wright).
