Selma Blair Talks Pregnancy & Newfound Penchant For Pancakes: I Eat Them ‘All Day’

Selma Blair has enjoyed nearly 16 years in showbiz. Now, the 38-year-old actress is taking some well-deserved time off to focus on her most exciting project yet — having a baby.

“I’m having a great pregnancy,” Selma told Access Hollywood at the premiere of Brooke Shields’ play, “Girls Talk,” in LA on Friday. “It’s due this summer. I’m not going to say what [the sex] is yet.

“Hopefully it’s one or the other,” she continued, laughing. “Who knows these days!”

The impending bundle of joy will be the first child for the former “Kath & Kim” star and while Selma’s pregnancy may be “great,” she admitted she’s fallen prey to typical gestational cravings.

“I eat pancakes all day,” she told Access. “I don’t eat gluten, so I eat gluten-free pancakes. It’s a little better, but not much!”

She added, “I have a lot of pancake cravings, a lot of grapefruit [cravings].”

Selma has multiple projects in the pipeline, including the thriller “Replicas,” and “Dark Horse,” alongside “The Hangover’s” Justin Bartha and Christopher Walken, but the mom-to-be isn’t fretting about adding to her workload at the moment.

“I’m unemployed and barefoot and pregnant!” she laughed.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Selma announced her pregnancy in early January. She is expecting the baby with her boyfriend, fashion designer Jason Bleick.

According to People, which first reported the news, the actress and Jason met while working together on the EVER fashion line, where Jason serves as the creative director and company founder.

“They are ecstatic,” a friend told the mag of the couple’s reaction to the baby news at the time. “They couldn’t be happier.”
